Scout Leader or Scouter generally refers to the trained adult leaders of a troop. Scouters are essential to the success of the troop as they assist in planning, logistics, transportation, safety, and general squirrel scout herding. Providing leadership role modeling, experience and direction when requested, Scouters are the "safety net" for the scouts, standing ready to help when requested and step in when the circumstances warrant intervention so that the scout can live up to the scout oath.
Attend a Troop Committee meeting and consider volunteering. We encourage you to step forward! We meet every 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM.
The more you know, the more you can help your son. We recommend that you take some or all of the courses below to help you understand the program. You will need to create an account at my.scouting.org if you do not yet have one. (You must be a registered leader to attend Summer Camp according to 2018 BSA guidelines.)
